One of Dolce & Gabbana’s newest perfumes for 2018 is Dolce Garden, and it’s the focus of our third edition of The Perfume Times.
Dolce Garden is the third flanker in the Dolce series. It is preceded by the original Dolce (2014), Dolce Floral Drops (2015), and Dolce Rosa Excelsa (2016). As each of the others, Dolce Garden takes its inspiration from the vibrancy of Sicily but also introduces a new, fun and energetic emotion that allows your spirit to run free.
Dolce Garden by Dolce Gabbana Review
The bottle is a soft pink and clear, translucent, an unfrosted container with a pink, floral cap and an adorable black, ribbon-tied bow to dress it up. It’s simple, classy, and tailored, just like the woman who wears it will present herself. Near the bottom “garden” is written in green to describe its natural base. It is available in 1.0 ounce (30mL), 1.7 ounce (50mL) or 2.5 ounce (75mL) bottles.
The box is as similar to the bottle to be consistent with the series. Mostly pastel pink and displaying the signature Dolce black bow accent.
Pink evokes feminine and playful; black represents elegance; green associates with vegetation, as a garden’s dominant color.
Eau de Parfum (EDP)
Continuing the foundation of the Dolce series, the top notes begin with white flowers. Additionally, there are juicy mandarin (fruity) and Magnolia (sweet) in the opening. Heart notes are coconut and frangipani blossoming petals. Finally, almond milk, vanilla, and sandalwood comprise of the base notes.
In conclusion, when one smells this, the feeling is pleasantly captivating. You recognize the fresh flowers and feel relaxed, but at the same time, you feel the need to be active and playful. It’s a great daytime, weekend, or change of pace fragrance. Wear it on your day off, be carefree and let your guard down! It won’t be your signature scent, but instead, it’s there all summer long to inspire you.
